Welcome to Grandchamp Fitness offering pre and postnatal exercise classes! Jill Grandchamp, health and fitness expert and a new mom, knows first hand how crazy and chaotic the balancing act of motherhood can be. So we are pleased and proud to offer you the opportunity to participate in a fitness program designed especially with busy moms and moms-to-be in mind.

CLASS DESCRIPTIONS & LOCATIONS
Prenatal Workouts consist of safe and effective exercises using weight training, strength development, endurance exercise, aerobic conditioning, aquatics, pregnancy pilates, and yoga exercises. Classes located at Wilmington Athletic Club (WAC) 4:15pm - 5:15pm Tuesday and Thursday evenings. Non-members welcome, childcare available. (Limited class size to ensure personal attention).

Postnatal stroller workouts consist of power walking with infant or child in stroller and include creative and various forms of strength training exercises using exercise tubing, body weight and the stroller. Enjoy a total body workout with a positive and supportive environment that is high energy, motivating, fun, and no need for childcare! Classes currently located at Halyburton Park 9:00am-10:00am every Tuesday and Thursday.

Both programs will help develop stamina, increase strength, restore muscle tone, and increase energy to more easily handle the rigors of motherhood.


Clinical studies have proven repeatedly that there are numerous benefits of exercise during pregnancy and after delivery such as:

Shorter labor time and easier deliveries
• Less weight gain and a quicker return to pre-pregnancy weight
• Reduced need for medical interventions such as c-sections, forceps, or episiotomies
• Muscle development essential for supporting the demands of pregnancy, delivery, and new motherhood.
• Elevated mood, better sleep and higher energy levels
